The Foundation is working hard on all of the finishing touches to a new, improved and expanded Field and Fair Day! This year’s event will move to the West lawn of Hutchins Street Square in order to accommodate all of the new elements to the event. This fun-filled day will commence with the launch of the RE/MAX hot air balloon followed by the raising of the flag and the singing of our national anthem. The Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. and will be available to the first 500 people through the doors.
This year we will continue the tradition with bounce houses, carnival games organized by Omega Nu, children’s races and a local entertainment stage. NEW to this year’s Field and Fair Day is a petting zoo hosted by the Lodi High FFA program, group art lessons by Young Rembrandts (to run every 15 to 20 minutes), Bingo in Kirst Hall hosted by the 50+ Club, a bicycle and trike course hosted by Temple Baptist Church, the Kids Care Dental Health and Wellness Fair, and the now infamous SACTO MOFO food trucks will be on site from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will also be police and fire personnel on site for demonstrations. Tickets for Field and Fair Day are $5 and include all games and activities. The Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast is also $5. Children 2 and under are free for both admittance and the breakfast.
